Atop Manhattan’s 800 acre emerald masterpiece, 145 Central Park North offered us an extremely rare opportunity to create south facing living spaces all fronting New York’s most famous green space. Paying homage to the gravity of the location and recognizing the size and character of the surrounding street wall, our goal was to design and construct a building of elegance, stature, and lasting value all while allowing each unit to embrace the specter of Central Park with the added bonus of the midtown skyline to the south and a panoramic view of Harlem and beyond to the north.
